If I only had a brain!

So I am sharing this story with you because I just have to learn to laugh at the things I'm doing because well...there's nothing I can do about it so I might has well just make a joke out of it! ha ha!

I fell asleep early last night, so my sweet husband set my alarm for me on my cell phone. Well he must have changed the alarm tone from a "cockadoodle DOO" sound to a smoke alarm sound. After Gar left for work I woke up without the alarm, but was laying in bed just playing with Louie. Well all of the sudden I hear this ALARM going off! So I grabbed my cell phone and got out of bed and went and looked at the carbon monoxide detector...nothing, the smoke alarm....nothing, outside...nothing... but EVERYWHERE I went I could still hear the alarm (note my cell phone was still in my hand) put my ear up against the window....nothing, feeling so confused I looked down and saw that my phone was lit up and IT WAS MY ALARM GOING OFF ON MY PHONE!!! I felt SO STUPID and it was one of the those moments where you look behind you to see if anyone was watching you type thing! Well when I got home from work later I told Gar what happened and his words were "Lis... I hate to say this, but sometimes you are borderline dumb" ha ha he was teasing of course but hey, I'm starting to think that this little girl inside of me is sucking all of my brain juice out of me!

Great Weekend!

Garett and I had a GREAT weekend! We were able to go up to the Caldwell cabin with my my family, everyone was able to make it for at least some of the time besides Brett, Tara, and Brian...we missed them!

We left Friday night after work and ate some dinner, talked, played some games, and then went to bed because MY FEET WERE SO SWOLLEN from the heat and I couldn't stand to sit there any longer, ha ha!

We woke up and My mom and I made some YUMMY breakfast! To me, nothing is better than having my mom's french toast and homemade syrup... I'm sure everyone feels that way about their mom's cooking though! :) I was spoiled growing up because I always had homemade syrup, jam, ranch, and vegetables from the garden! My parents did it to save money, but to me it was such a treat and still is!! I always appreciated my moms hard work in the kitchen and my dads hard work in the garden!

After breakfast Laurie, Landen, their kids, and Anj and Garrett came up and we went out on the boat! It was so much fun to be out there with everyone!

Cute Anj and Me

Gar did just about everything and Is still feeling the consequences of it! But I LOVE watching him do everything on the lake, because he ALWAYS has this huge smile on his face, he reminds me a little kid that never ever wants to leave the lake because he's having so much fun!!

I love watching Gar with all of our nieces and nephews because he plays SO cute with them all! Our little girl is going to be so lucky and blessed to have a dad like Gar, because he is so playful and I can't wait to see him with our own!

Everyone else went out on the lake too! It was so much FUN to watch everyone get out! And Anj got out and tried Wake boarding and she DID IT! It was so awesome to see her accomplish that!

We went in and had some lunch that Laurie and Anj made, and then we were back out on the boat just enjoying the sunshine!

We finished up and went and had some dinner and played some more games! It was so great to spend some time with my family like that! I love them all so much and I think it was really good for all of us to get together and spend some time! I was also SO VERY happy that my parents were able to come up and JUST RELAX for the first time in a LONG time! They have been working EVERY night on the Salon and I just want them to know how grateful I am for all their hard work, I know they have put so much time and energy into it! Thanks Mom and Dad!

And THANK YOU STEVE AND JOEY for letting us enjoy the cabin for the weekend!!!! :)

BUSY with FUN

We have a had a lot of good fun things going on lately and I have gotten behind on blogging it all, so I'm going try and catch myself up!

In May Garett interviewed for a new job which would allow him to be home EVERY night and not travel anymore. When he first applied the thought of him getting the job was like something I couldn't even think was real or a possibility because I was so use to him traveling for the past year and a half. Well he kept getting another interview...and another interview... and finally in the beginning of June he was offered the job!!! We both were thrilled and it was one of those times where I felt like it was too good to be true and it humbled me because I had to ask myself "do I really deserve this blessing?" But we have been loving having him here every day! I have been loving cooking dinner and looking in my fridge and seeing A FULL FRIDGE AND FREEZER...The little things in life that I appreciate so much more now and that I probably would have taken for granted before. We both learned so much though from his traveling and we are grateful for the experiences and strength we gained from it. What a blessing to have him home for our baby girl!

I also changed jobs as well. I was working at Prestige Salon and Spa doing hair, but Gar and I just both felt that it would be best for our family and new addition to the family if I started the transition of me doing hair on my own now so I can be a stay at home mommy but still work doing hair. So I am working part time at a bank until I have the baby and doing hair part time.I miss all the girls at the salon but Thanks to my HARDWORKING Dad, Mom, Gar, and anyone else that has helped out, I now have a new beautiful Salon to work out of from home! It has been so fun, I LOVE BEING A HAIRSTYLIST!

Garett and I had been talking about getting a new car for awhile now, one that would get better gas mileage and be a good car for lugging around baby bug. When I was at work one day he called me and said he was at the car dealership but that there wasn't really anything there that we would be interested in, but he wanted to pick me up after work and take me up there with him and have me look as well to see what I thought. Well when he came to pick me up he was in OUR NEW CAR! I was so surprised and SO happy!! I have never had a new car before! It was so sweet of him! I was too scared to drive it at first though because I was scared to wrecking it! I'm so grateful for our car! It's a 2010 silver Toyota corolla s!

We celebrated the 4th up at the Caldwell's cabin. It was fun to spend time with everyone and just have fun and relax! We came home sunday night and then Monday we were able to get some stuff done around the house, had lunch with my family, went with my dad to go see the movie Knight and day, and then ended the night watching some fireworks at Brandon and Michelle's. It was all good fun!

I am now 28 weeks! I'm starting to feel more uncomfortable, and give into some of my cravings! I don't really have any weird cravings just cravings. I crave ice cream and CEREAL...AH I LOVE CEREAL! We are getting more and more anxious to meet this little girl! She is moving around like crazy...whoa! I finally have bought some little clothes for her, but she still needs much more ha ha! We are pretty sure we have a name for her but we aren't 100% sure yet so I'm not going to announce anything yet :) he he.
